Bill Borek, Lead Home Inspector

With over 35 years of construction industry experience, Bill Borek founded Benchmark Home Inspection to set a new standard of quality and customer service in the Lake Norman area. We believe in a collaborative approach, working closely with clients and real estate agents for a smooth and informative inspection process.

Bill's career began in the carpenter and mason unions of New York City. After serving in the United States Marine Corps Reserves, he transitioned to general contracting. Following a successful decade serving New York clients, he relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina.

In North Carolina, Bill expanded his business interests to include property investment, residential restoration, and commercial project management. His diverse experience, including owning and operating a horse rescue, has equipped him with a unique perspective and a strong work ethic. Benchmark Home Inspection is the culmination of his career, offering unparalleled expertise to buyers and sellers alike.
